“Go Sin No More”

(John 8:3-11)

“Go and sin no more…”  Such easy words to hear

“Go and sin no more…I’ve tried so hard through the years

“Go and sin no more…The simple words He said

“Go and sin no more…I try to trust but my hearts filled with dread

Death would have been easier to face

My courage had long given up on a holy race

In my mind I could already feel the rocks hit my bones

The pain of hiding can hurt more than any stones

Then I dropped at his feet and saw in His eyes

His strength to hold my fears

The courage to let go of all my tears

Then I listened as my accusers walked away

I heard Him say…

“Go and sin no more…”  Such easy words to hear

“Go and sin no more…I’ve tried so hard through the years

“Go and sin no more…The simple words He said

“Go and sin no more…I try to trust but my hearts filled with dread

How can I fulfill this command

My heart feels so empty… I just don’t understand

After all the pain and trouble I’ve caused

Can’t You see that I’m hopeless and lost

How could You have ever heard my cries

Teacher, please show me how to trust You

Show me the world… Let me see it from Your view

I’ll put my trust in You… And throw my fears away
