“The Friends Beyond The Walls”
Once there was a
kingdom
Dedicated to The Lord
It’s people moved in
freedom
At a price only love
could afford
Friendship was pledged,
for all time to come
They sought to be
friends beyond the walls
Ones who could here the
holy call
Through good and bad
they would stay
Knowing there would
come a day
When the friends beyond
the walls
Would rise with The
Kingdom’s call
The kingdom rose one
morning
Some looking down from
its lofty place
The prideful had judged
without warning
They forgot The Lord’s
never ending grace
Some left in anger,
some were left in mourning
Worst of all, the
kingdom was left with disgrace
But not the friends
beyond the walls
Ones who could here the
holy call
Through good and bad
they would stay
Knowing there would
come a day
When the friends beyond
the walls
Would rise with The
Kingdom’s call
Upon the Lord’s
returning
The dungeon doors were
opened wide
Words of banishment
were burning
Leaving the outcasts
with no reason to hide
And the hearts of all
started turning
As they saw they were
all on the Lord’s side
They became friends
beyond the walls
Ones who could here the
holy call
Through good and bad
they would stay
Knowing there would
come a day
When the friends beyond
the walls
Would rise with The
Kingdom’s call
