I’ve tried everything I know,

But after so much time trying to let go

The past still seems to be in front of me.

I know the promises God has made,

But even with the change I often wonder why I’ve stayed

Hold on! God will prove himself true for all the world to see!

Now is the time that the healing waits only a breath away.

Just breathe!  Just BREATHE!

Precious countless moments come together to form this day.

Just breathe!  Just BREATHE!

Dear God,

I know you hear my cries,

But after so much time and so many whys –

My life still seems to echo sin and sorrow.

Lord,

You tell me I am free,

But why can’t I feel that liberty.

Jesus, help me hold on to you from yesterday to tomorrow!

Now is the time that the healing waits only a breath away.

Just breathe!  Just BREATHE!

Precious countless moments come together to form this day

Just breathe!  Just BREATHE!

I find that the words of one so long ago -point the way for me,

And as I follow the path - step by step - I find I am free!

As I grasp the hope you’ve placed inside - only shadows remain.

Strength surges inside me from the joy you bring,

And as I choose to live for you - I find I can sing.

I gladly give all the pain of the past, and embrace all I have to gain.
